Amber SkidmoreLead Receptionist
Amber first joined the Red Barn Team in January of 2013. She was with us for several years before taking a break to start her family. We were very happy to welcome her back August of 2018! Amber is married with two wonderful kids, two dogs- Monte and Teague, one cat- Maybelle, one fish- Elf and two chickens- Beaker and Emma. Amber was born in Rabun County and has lived in Dahlonega since early 2013. In the time between, she lived in Big Sky, MT where she worked at 320 Guest Ranch and met her now husband. Amber loves being outdoors, playing with family, gardening and reading in her free time. She loves all animals and dreams of one day owning a big farm with lots of rescues!
Mellissa joined the Red Barn Team in November of 2016. She was born in California and moved to Florida with her family when she was 15. In 2016 Mellissa and her family relocated to Georgia and bought a small farm. She enjoys hiking with her two dogs and trail riding her horse.
Brooke joined the Red Barn Team in May of 2017. She has lived in Lula her whole life and is currently attending the University of North Georgia, majoring in Biology. She hopes to continue her education at the University of Georgia after graduating from UNG. Brooke enjoys playing piano, tennis, hiking and kayaking in her spare time. She has three dogs named Bruno, Chip, and Josie. She worked at Holly's Bed and Biscuit Inn dog kennel for five years prior to joining the Red Barn Team.
Madison joined the Red Barn Team in June of 2017. She moved to Dahlonega from Augusta in 2016 to attend UNG. She is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management. Madison's goal is to own her own boarding kennel. She lives in Dahlonega with her Chihuahua, Ziggy and her bearded dragon, Hippo.
Linsey joined the Red Barn Team in January of 2018. Linsey is a junior in high school currently with the goal of one day becoming a veterinarian. She enjoys riding horses in her free time and has trained as a hunter/jumper but, is currently showing interest in barrel racing. Linsey has a dog named Colt and a bunny named Pickles. Linsey enjoys working with our clients and their pets and always has a smile when greeting them. She hopes to start training as a technician one day and to gain more knowledge in the veterinary field.
